Officer Dale Swart will be your new Mount Pleasant
Police Department Canine Handler. In April Dale will head to the
State of North Carolina for his new canine partner and to begin the extensive
training. He will be
returning in May with his new partner, ready to serve Racine County.

The K-9 Unit will train in tracking, officer protection and locating illegal drugs. Our last two dogs were instrumental in tracking lost children, apprehending felons, building searches, locating stolen goods and detecting hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal drugs.
